Rugged Radios Headquarters Building
Steel Building with Historical Design
The 15,000 sf flagship building for Rugged Radios features accent columns and trim, a structural steel tower, and varying wall panel and trim colors to enhance the architectural design elements. It serves as a headquarters, retail facility, research & development, and warehouse for a communications equipment company.
Two 5,000 sf ancillary metal buildings showcase a traditional style with parapets, special accent trims and glass sectional doors. A small metal building anchors the corner of the development and was designed to emulate an old gas station.
Small, yet complex, this building has a level canopy and utilizes insulated metal panels, soffits, and special trims. The vintage radio tower and gas station theme made the project a shoo-in to be constructed of metal building products, providing the campus with a feeling of an era gone-by with the modern efficiencies of a wide-open structure.
This facility was awarded the bronze medal in the American Buildings Excellence In Design publication.
