Indoor Football and Lacrosse Sports Building

The Ensley Athletic Center features a full 120-yard field with a FieldTurf surface lined for football, men’s lacrosse and women’s lacrosse. The interior clearance at peak is 65’ which allows for passing and kicking activities, and the roof features a one-of-kind alternating dormer system that allows in natural light.

This project overcame many challenges, including an exceptionally cold and long winter in Central New York. The exterior of the building features a plaza with statues that are homage to Syracuse University legends and iconic #44 jersey bearers Jim Brown, Floyd Little, and Ernie Davis.
